The service is terrible as well as the food. A drink is $3 and tgey charge for refills. Had 2 small kids. Ordered an adult entree and an addl plate. Was charged for kids plate. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GOUGERS

As of May 2018, Olde Salty's is under new management/ownership. If it's been a while since you stopped in, you should think about checking it out again. Excited about the changes that are coming to this awesome upstairs island themed restaurant/bar.

Bad reviews must get deleted because there should be many more complaints on here. Terrible service and food. Let's see how long this review actually stays on, my previous one has been deleted probably as soon as I wrote it.

Great idea! Best I've heard of in a long time.

I am going tonight based on their policy regarding screaming children. Parents if you are going out to a restaurant please control your children. If you can't control them please find a McDonalds play land.

No doubt was a great meal .no screaming kids and all service was 5 star crab cakes so good..we always get good food here when we are down

This restaurant sets a great atmosphere. People that complain because of the "no screaming kids" policy are usually the ones that let their kids run wild. She is not banning kids in general, all she is asking is that if your child starts screaming, take them outside until they settle down, and then they can come back in. It's called parenting. It's sad that she has to put up a sign to remind people to be considerate of other people around them.

if you are going to ban loud children in your restaurant then i hope you will send LOUD and OBNOXIOUS ADULTS outside too when they are acting like childen. believe me I have heard plenty of them. Sometimes the adults are the ones who should be sent out What is your comment on this.

I have never been to this restaurant, but will DEFINITELY stop by and applaud this owner for her stand. Many parents don't care that some grown ups might be wanting to enjoy a quiet night out alone and just let their kids go wild without consideration for others who don't have kids. If any adult acted unruly the cops would be called and they'd be removed and there is not much difference. If the parents are one of the few left that discipline their kids and are considerate of others then they will take them outside to settle them down or whatever they need to do. If kids want to scream and yell a restaurant is no place for that.Take them to McDonald's people and let them have at the playground outside and GO NUTS!Cheers to the brilliant policy this woman has put in place! As an adult that enjoys quiet restaurants where you can actually carry on a conversation with the person you are with without yelling over all the background noise(such as yelling children or crying babies), I wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant and can't wait to try it real soon and absorb some of that quiet laid back hospitality you are protecting!Best of luck to you and applause to all the NC locals that support you with their business. You are the best!

I just saw the news report about this kid policy, I can only say the owner is a whack job. Off the wall making fun outside of a baby? Kids or no kids who would want to support that woman? People had to watch her scream in the parking lot like a fool but that is okay I guess. Evidently this old bat was never a kid and never cried.

I just watched a news report on this hole in the wall. There is a sign out front stating screaming children will not be tolerated. Some hateful old woman was ranting on about not serving people with kids. The news crew tried to interview a young couple with an infant outside who just happened to be walking by. The hateful old woman came out an int erupted the young woman and started making fun of the crying infant. I will never eat at this restaurant and based on the support the locals apparently want to provide it, I will never again spend one dollar at Carolina Beach.
