I haven't eaten a morsel there...yet...tomorrow. But what about the ambiance. Nobody spoke about that. I can't b believe it. It oozes of atmosphere! It is absolutely succulent. I don't care about customer service, I don't care about the food...well, not really, but when I walked in the entrance, I was immediately immersed in warmth. Then, when I went through to the back, I found their outdoor cafe is enclosed and they have a heater. I'll be back to tell you how the customer service was as well as the food. I am so psyched!

Service was ok. Entrees were excellent. Will not return because we paid extra for a salad of lettuce and onions. First of all who serves that as a salad? Secondly, who charges for it? Thirdly, when mentioned to the waitress to share with kitchen there was no response. Disappointing!!

Terrazzos by far has best italian food and pizza one could ever wish for! On the weekend the wait is a little long but is expected of such a good place! WORTH THE WAIT!!! I have read some of the other reviews .. Dirty you people must need something to complain about because every time I go in there I have yet had one problem other them finding what new dish I want to order! And I go into Terrazzos atleast once a week! Service could not be better!!! The girls in there are angles ! The managers and owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!! I thinking might just eat there tonight!
P.s. The coconut cake is the best thing to ever be made in this world!!!

I'm pretty sure most of these reviews are either from other restaurants or people with their heads up their butts when they walk in the door. Clearly, they are people who will complain about absolutely anything no matter how good or bad.
If you go out to eat on a Friday or Saturday, ALWAYS EXPECT to wait. Waiting an hour to get seated is NOTHING and waiting an hour for food is also nothing. I used to hostess at a restaurant in NY and it was absolutely normal to have a 2 1/2 hour wait on a weekend night. Where are you people getting your ideas?
The food here is great and the staff work hard to ensure people have a good experience. It's simply not possible that every single time you go somewhere that everyone will always be perfect, but as far as restaurants go, Terrazzo is one of the better ones.
And dirty? The bathroom is exceptionally clean, actually. And what, do you not expect a crumb on the floor? God forbid!

Waited almost 2 1/2 hours for our food to arrive. When this did come out, our party had only a few dinners arrive at a time. During our lengthy wait on food, we asked for bread was told they ran out and were cooking more. Kept asking for food, and they said the food was just 15 more min. One entree was forgotten and took another 20 min or so. When it arrived, it was runny like soup and we did not eat. The next time we saw the waitress, she was bringing the check. She did not check on us after she delivered the late dish. She didn't check on us only brought the check. (since everyone was finished eating in our party) When we told her it was not good and runny, she acted like she didn't believe it or want to hear. Waitress never apologized for the wait, we never were spoken to by a manager. No one seemed to care for the long wait, forgotten meal. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! The food was fabulous, but the service and wait were horrible. We had 4 kids and we had to entertain them for so long. It just made everyone upset that no one took time out to care about our table. I guess that is what happens when you add the gratuity upfront for the large party. I would think twice about going there again even though the food was super. I think they need to treat their customers better.

When we asked how much longer on our food, they said we've been busy since 6. Well, it was going on 9:30 and we were waiting since 7pm! Seems to me that even in 2 1/2 hours you could get all of the meals out. We are really nice people and are tolerable so it would have been nice to have someone apologize for the long wait and care AFTER all we are the ones PAYING for our meals and we are the customers!!! If we had not been with a group, we would have walked out at least an hour earlier! If you have a restaurant that holds a certain amount of people, be able to produce the food to feed them in a reasonable amount of time. 2 1/2 hours for food is insane!

We planned to start our ladies night out at Terrazzos, we called ahead for a reservation of 10 ladies and the host told us, "no problem". We got there and they told us they didn't take reservations! So we waited an hour and a half for mediocre food, then when we politely displayed our dissatisfaction with the young man who claimed he was the manager, he laughed at us and said "We don't take reservations, and I'm sorry you didn't like the food but there's nothing I can do." The table next to ours cheered him on, and he blatantly sent over free desserts to that table! We then asked to speak to the owner and told him our disdain with the manager, and he said, "You can't talk about my son like that, I'll call the police" What??!!! Is this an episode of Jersey Shore or something??? Terrible management, less than ordinary food, absolutely disgusting treatment, I would NEVER recommend this place.

Great pizza. Well worth the wait and wait we did. Our first clue, which we didn't pick up on but should have, was that we had to ask for a pizza menu. Then after we ordered, it took over an hour to get one large cheese pizza. During our hour wait, we observed a very healthy pizza take-out business. Wondered how many times our pizza went out the door? Our waitress, who was very friendly and accommodating, was red-faced and apologetic. Moral of the evening - don't go to Terrazzo Pizzerria for pizza. Get it to go so you don't have to wait. Also had a salad which was very ordinary and nothing to return for.

whoever wrote the negative comments must just be from another restaurant. because if you have ever been to terrazzo you would know that the owners are very nice and family oriented people. and i don't believe they've ever fired anybody!! you must try for yourself, great food great atmosphere.

For people to say that this restaurant is "pure filth" must not have ever worked in a restaurant. The carpets are black, and yes if it is busy on a Friday or Saturday night, you're going to be able to see crumbs on the carpet. If Terrazzo was "pure filth" then it would not have a high sanitation score. Ever thought of that? And as for the price, you get a HUGE portion of food, the prices are VERY fair. And if you have a big party without reservations, yes, your going to have to wait, It is like that at any restaurant. Just because you had ONE bad experience doesn't mean you should throw this restaurant under the bus.

Used to live in Cary,NC. My son lived in Wrightsville and whenever I visited, usually twice a month, we always had lunch/dinner at Terrazo's. Never had a "bad" meal or poor service. I am Italian, and very fussy, as is my son, about our Italian food. Terrazo's, you are the best!!!

NEVER AGAIN! This place has got to be the most dirtiest restaurant in Wilmington. The floors were caked in grime and the walls were filthy. Service was terribe. TOok us hour to be seated and then 45 minutes to receive appetizer and then 2 hours to receive meal. The waitress was rude and scoffed when we replied "yes" that we would like bread. the lasagna was cold and tasted of old meat. Please. Save your money

I almost didn't go to Terrazzo because of the negative reviews but it was very highly recommended by the hotel staff where I am staying so I took a chance and I am very glad I did. First of all, the service was impeccable.Secondly, the food was excellent. Also, the place seemed clean and the atmosphere was nice. I suggest ignoring the negative reviews and trying Terrazzo out. We had a very good dining experience,

I have been going there for years but after this past experience I will not be going back. Last week I was in with my family including my two sons, and our meal was interupted by the owner of the restaurant screaming the F word multiple times at one of the employees who then walked out crying. It still blows my mind that the owner would speak to an employee that way, i know that there are always two sides to every story but there is no excuse to talk to a woman like that. Did not give my sons a good example of how women are to be treated. love the food, but will not support that kind of business.

Terrazzo's was a huge disappointment! There were nine of us in our group. We waited one hour before being seated; we were rushed to place our order; when asked if we wanted bread they were frustrated when we said yes, because they had to put bread in the oven; 4 of the 8 orders received their food cold and they forgot the salad for the other person. This place was not worth the money we spent.

the food was amazing. as for the people who said the service was slow id like to see u and 4 other people cook for the entire restaurant dine-in take-out and delivery. and have to put up with customers like u. u have no idea what it takes to run this restaurant. and the floors are vacuumed every morning.

I have not had a bad meal yet! I love the atmosphere and the people are very friendly! I always suggest this place to new people and make sure to tease my mother every chance I get to go! :-)

Had lunch at Terrazzo Pizzeria today for a special occasion and it was such a disappointment. The lasagna had an old meat taste and the quesadilla (steak) was sent back because it was so bad. We had to wait forever to get our food and will never go back. Overall the layout was uncomfortable and floors were dirty and unkept .

Food was excellent. The service reminded me of a fast food restaurant. We had to procure our own utensils and napkins, as well as salt and pepper. Also, we did not receive any complimentary bread or water. The waitress rolled her eyes when we asked for help, as if she could not be bothered. A complaint was made to management and it was obvious where she got her direction because she was allowed to get in my face and dispute in front of management. Overall the experience could have been outstanding but was sub-par especially for $35 a head.

Tried to order delivery, but their delivery radius is only two miles. Don't think the restaurant should be considered delivery with only a two mile radius.

This place is a wonderful italian restaurant. The Chicken Parmesean Pizza is to die for, the chicken terriaki salad is great, and the Tortellini Carbanara is an all time favorite (a heavier meal though). They do deliver around Mayfair.

First, these are people who really care. The reviewer with a bad experience must have come in on the one and only day in the history of Terrazzo when someone was having a seriously off night. These are great people, and the food is incredible, and habit forming. Always. They'll also do special things for customers that aren't on the menu. Just ask. It's like one big Italian family that you can be adopted into just by being a normal customer. It's doesn't take Big Shot status. And the people you'l see there can be just as much fun as the food. It's the hang out of hang outs. The place to be! When I'm out of town I have Terrazzo food withdrawals!
Try them, you'll love them.

I have always enjoyed my experience at Terrazzo's until this last time, I have never been so displeased with a restaurant until I received the worst dinning exp. thanks to the terrible service I had at the bar and then once I was seated. The bartenders are rude and inexperienced. That will be my last visit at place and I will be sure to spread the word!!!
