I'll be hones with you, I'm not one to EVER waste food! But this "food" if not fit for human comsumption! Anyone who gave this a five star must be in dimentia! The fried foods were so over salted that salt is all you can taste! The "green beans" were baby food consistency and tasteless! Biting into a piece of fried fish was like biting a greasy salt shaker! The only two things that had any taste whatsiever were the chicken and the fat back! I don't know how anybody can screw up the flavor of pork bar b q, but this place did it! I tried to cover the taste with extra sauce, but it ended up in the trash! My wife and I both ate there, and it is a complete waste of $18.00. We'd have been better to go home and eat HOT DOGS! I had to eat some desert after to get the horrid taste out of my MOUTH! And I usually give very good, but very factual reviews. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! GO TO MCDONALDS!

I have eaten BBQ all over the South (BBQ does not exist outside the South)- This is a great deal for the price - no ribs but they make up for it with a salad bar and the balance of the buffet

I love trying different styles of barbecue and this was the best eastern barbecue I have ever tasted. Service was very up-beat and attentive. There seemed to be alot of good humor in the air. Looking around I could tell there were alot of repeat customers. The staff is on a first name basis with quite a few customers. Even with the economy soaring you cant beat the prices for good mamas-in-the-kitchen southern cooking. Definately try the collards.

Awesome. Simply awesome. If you were raised in the South, you'll find a lot to love here. Old-school all the way. Waitresses who call you "sweetie-pie". Country music. Killer chicken and pastry, neckbones, fried seafood, and of course BBQ. I revisit my roots here on a regular basis, mostly at the South College store.
