You can buy a Filet O’ Fish with a thin piece of frozen white fish for $5+ or buy a large piece of fresh haddock on a toasted bun with fresh tomatoes and lettuce for $5.95 here. No comparison!!!
Food is always tasty and hot and the wait staff are friendly and helpful. Love it.
Athol’s jewel.

So many rave reviews. I love fried clams but unfortunately, they use a batter like Sandy's on the way to Cape Cod. The batter dries out the clams, as they sit on your plate, it becomes hard and the clam flavor is lost to the batter. If anyone would listen, I would offer a suggestion to use corn meal for a batter. It is lighter and does not dry out the clam as it sits on your plate. I do not expect they would consider my suggestion because they are so well accepted in the community for good reason. However, please consider and research the suggestion. Clam lovers do not need their meal to be dried out and hard as the clams sit on their plates. It destroys the meal. Otherwise, service was absolutely outstanding. Fast and friendly. However, clams and oysters are delicately flavored. To slam them with such a batter is awful. Please consider my suggestion. Your customers will thank you. I wouldn't order the clams again but will surely go back for a seafood fix. Just not fried with that batter but baked. Otherwise, 5 star for their effort although they could offer their customers a wonderful experience if they consider the change. I never returned to Sandy's for the reasons listed. I agree with other revues, it is a gem but the clams, and I suppose the oysters are significantly destroyed by the batter, particularly as they dry out and become hard on the plate. Has no one noticed this? I would not order a fried seafood dish here under the circumstances. I'll give bake a try next. It's the only game in town!

This place never seems to be open. I drive by, nobody there, I call during their posted business hours, nobody answers People say that they are open, but never when I want some seafood.

Great service, fish is cooked to perfection. My wife and I stop in every time we come back from a Boston trip. We live in Western NH. and many of our friends stop in also.
