The seafood and sushi here are honestly the best I've had anywhere. Even though it's tucked inside a gas station, the quality of the food is exceptional, and the staff is super friendly. I've tried a good chunk of the menu and have always been impressed-definitely worth checking out!

I just spent 55 minutes waiting for a simple order of California Roll, and left without receiving my meal. It was Thursday night, not especially busy, and I was happy to find a place that would feed my now sushi eating husband, and myself. The first meal about a month ago was fine. Tonight was so different it was hard to believe it was the same place
25 minutes after placing our order, my husband received his friend shrimp. I had yet to receive any of my combination plate. I saw others getting at least their soup and salad. I asked and was told it would be about 10 more minutes due to a lack of cooked rice. They did bring my soup and salad at that time. 25 minutes later and no further contact from the staff. We asked for the bill for the food we had eaten, and were told my entree would be ready in approx 10 more minutes. I was no longer interested in the food and left without any concern from the staff.

This is one of the best fresh seafood restaurants anywhere. I love the "Fish Po-boy" and my wife thinks the "Shrimp Po-boy" is awesome!!! If you get the opportunity to eat in or carry out this food, you will not be disappointed.

Not sure what happened to Mr Silver..My experiences, and there have been many, have all been exceptionally positive. No, you can't get grilled anything but the steamed shrimp, the fried crab claws and the grouper are all very goo to excellent.
Best fish in jasper.. Nice folks

It's just ok at best. The fish looks fresh and everthing flyed. I got the boiled shrimp I think it was treated with chlorine it had a real funny taste. Once was enough. TRUTH

My wife has stopped by Bayou on a couple of occasions to pick up some dinner. The fried fish was good and the fresh steamed shrimp was great. I look forward to eating from there again.
