We were in the restaurant at 5:30 on a Friday evening. There was no one to greet you and say set yourself or take you to a table.... pretty much fiend for yourself. We had to ask another patron if a table was open and bus it ourselves. Only 3 servers working, my husband after 10 minutes went to the bar to get two beers. Waiter FINALY came 10 minutes after that for our order( so now we’re 20 minutes in) the gentleman we asked about our table flagged down our server said he and his two children had been waiting for a hour and only drinks. He paid and left. We watched this happen with 4 more tables. Finally our server said to us food wait was a hour out. We decided to stay, people were leaving and our wait time was getting shorter right..... food came our 45 minutes later ( so now we’re 60+ minutes in) again my husband had to go to the bar and get two more beers. We both ordered catfish with fries and hush puppies. HUH.... little to no flavo. Didn’t even eat the fries.... NEVER LAID EYES ON OUR WAITER after the order was taken,, HIRE MORE STAFF,,,,summer is coming,,, we asked for our bill.... another 15 minutes of waiting
I went to the bar and asked there for our bill. $ 55.00 lesson learned. WE WILL NOT GO BACK,

You have to check out the new renovations and new menu! So cool! So delicious! Don't read reviews from 2009. Brad sounds like a real A-hole anyway...

I haven't personally been there but my husband has-my question is this-are they really that expensive (credit card bill runs $60 to $80 for one?) or is he lying to me about his girlfriend being with him? Just asking

Hard Dock is an awful place that could not compete if it had ANY decent competition:
1.) MENU: Good luck finding anything on the menu; the shrimp have been froven for months and taste like rubber, the jambalaya "sauce" they use is ketchup (seriously), the chicken bites are the same quality of chicken nuggets you could buy from Wendy's (at half the price)
2.) PRICE: Hard Dock benefits from the fact it's patrons don't feel like going far for food because the play-doh tasting food is double in price what it should be. Again, with no competition they can get away with it, just don't let them rob you
3.) HAPPY HOUR: For all intent and purpose it does not exist
4.) STAFF: I once left my phone there, someone found it and was nice enough to turn it in to the bar (I know this because they called my recent numbers and said they would do that). When I went to the bar the pick-up my phone the staff had no idea what I was talking about-because one of them took it from the lost and found the night before!! The service is also typcially spotty at best, you should expect to wait awhile for any service despite the amount of other people at the bar.
Even if you send all day out on the water and this place looks convenient do yourself a favor and find ANY other place to stop in for food or even a quick drink.
