The catfish here is seriously some of the best I've ever had, with huge, perfectly cooked filets and amazing tartar sauce. The hush puppies are crispy and fluffy, and the sides, like the homemade cole slaw and fried pickles, really round out the meal. The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the friendly staff make the whole experience feel welcoming and worth the wait.

For the last 3 times my husband ate at Jimpa's has been very disappointing . We order a fish dinner, the fish was VERY VERY small. The cashier that takes your order is never friendly and if you pause to decide what you are going to order she act as if you are a pain. They closed at 8 o'clock on Wednesday, we arrived at 7 o'clock got our dinner at 7:15 pm (it did not take them long to fry the SMALL fish). At 7:30 pm the wiped "ALL" the tables and stacked "ALL" the chairs on top of the table. We felt they were driving us out. We got up and left at 7:35 pm. We will not go back or refer them to anyone. We tried to go there every other week to support our neighborhood restaurant. Apparently they do not need us.
