Rossi's,What can I say. A real convergence of warps in time. This is the only restaurant in town aside from a pizza parlor, so you don't have a real choice. We walk in and are asked if we have a reservation. The place is empty. No one, not a soul. They bring us menu's with cutouts for a price list. There is a raggedy old piano, I don't know if it's karaoke or what. The tables and chairs are a mixmatch of decades of stuff. The decor is sight to be seen. I can't even explain it. It is a blend of decades. They want 22.00 for a plate of spaghetti and the prices get worse. Obvious thieves. The window dressings are vertical blinds with little remaining. The people next to us have sun in their eyes and the waitress says she'll be right back and staple the sheers to the blinds, which she does to my and my better halfs amazement. We order the Father Jerry's shrimp scampi, which resembles nothing of scampi. We are told the salad dressing is bleu cheese that they are known for. I'm not sure what that means as maries out of the jar far surpassed it. The "scampi" if you can call it that was served atop shagettini, it's spaghetti. My better half went to the restroom and there was big mouth billy bass on the wall, mind you this place fancies itself a high end restaurant. The topper was when she brought me the bill after running my credit card. They wanted to keep the copy which had my full credit card # and expiration date on it. When I told her I got a long drawn out explanation and I finally told her they could have my copy which didn't show it. The food pretty much tasted like cardboard. This place is serving highway robbery and nothing else. Continue on to Bishop. A man and his son walked in and sat down, looked at the menu and said I am not paying 20.00 dollars for a plate of spaghetti. Avoid the place like the plague. Their is a nice motel across the street I recommend. The Bristlecone manor. Nice people good rates. Just be careful as the waitress across the street watches out the window as you look for somewhere to eat knowing full well you'll wind up at Rossi's. This place does it's best to empty your wallet with a smile on their face.
