Great food and service. We definitely will be returning often.

The best part was their signature house salad. The lemon herb dressing is very tasty and the apple was a wonderful surprise. The bread pudding is the best I’ve ever had. We got the grilled catfish, I got the Alexandria sauce and it was soooo salty. Our waitress Courtney was attentive and came back to make sure we had refills on our drinks. It was a pleasant experience.

Had the catfish. Tasted great. There wasn't as big of a selection as I would have liked. Prices are great.

The best part of this meal was the lemon herb dressing. The rest was mediocre at best. The noise level was terrible even though we asked for a quiet table. Conversation was frustrating. We had checked the menu online before going to the restaurant to be able to order quickly, but our choices were not available because the website needs updating. The sides were mostly starches and the fish was already served with rice. Broccoli was the only non-starch but we could get seasonal veggies (mixed squash varieties) for an additional fee. You could also trade two sides for a small salad with one tiny cherry tomato cut in half, but if you only had one side to trade the salad was extra. No bread or crackers was served or offered. The service was fair. The server was pleasant, answered questions, took the order, brought the order, and disappeared until time to pay the bill. No checking for drink refills or other needs like ketchup or pepper. Six stuffed shrimp were placed on a bed of fairly tasty rice on a very large plate. The extra space on the plate were for the two sides that were traded for the small salad. A smaller plate would have improved the presentation dramatically. The shrimp were fairly snall, the crab stuffing was mushy and poorly seasoned. The entire experience was very disappointing, not one we will repeat - ever.

I ordered the vegetable of the day for extra$. I ordered a sweet potato. When it came out it was approximately 1.5" X 4", enough for about 3 small bites and it still was not cooked throughout. I asked the wait staff for a real sweet potato and they brought out another one that was the same size and they apologized and said they were all that size. The second one was cooked.

If not for the sweet potato issue, I would have given them a 5+ rating.

Portions have gotten smaller, Bloody Mary's did not have celery in them, nor spices. Soups no longer came with crackers, and the wait staff are now wearing country gingham shirts that do not look professional. Much preferred the black/white attire that gave a much more polished look.

Way to much SALT we had grilled fish, fried fish, and shrimp. All three over salted grilled fish you could not eat. Fried catfish had to squeeze lemon to cover SALT taste. The poor fried shrimp tasted like the gulf Salt water. We have been eating at this place for the past 5 years and this last year they have started pouring the salt on way to heavy. They could increase the profit margin if they would cut the salt by half.

Great food, cheap prices, great service, especially Andrew. My Aggies thought it was a fancy restaurant, and avoided going there, but I talked them into trying it and they LOVED it.
