I ORDERED A PHILLY CHESSESTEAK SANDWICH FROM AJ'S & THIS WAS THE WORST PLILLY I HAVE EVER HAD.. IVE HAD EATEN PHILLYS FROM SEBERAL PLACES BEFORE & THIS WAS THE WORST. FIRST OF ALL IT HAD PARMASEAN CHEESE SPRINKLED ALL OVER THE BREAD & IT SHOULD HAVE GRILLED ONIONS,IT HAD PURPLE ONIONS JUST THROWN ON THE SANDWICH. THE MEA TASTED BLAND. I CALLED AJS & TOLD THEM ABOUT IT & THEY SAID THAT JUST HOW WE MAKE THEM HERE.I HAD ONLY TAKEN A COUPLE BITES & THREW THE WHOLE THING IN THE GARBAGE. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. THANKS AJ'S FOR MAKING MY EXPERIENCE SO AWEFUL........ILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ABYONE.

AJ's is NOT the only place in Bayfield to get pizza. It is a great place for the kids, as well as a great asset to the community. The owners have donated a lot of time and food to kids during special events. The pizza is simple, but simple can be great! HOMESLICE is the place to go for a complex pie with unique toppings and great all around taste. We recently tried Fired Up stone fired pizza and are also very pleased with the quality. Enjoy.

AJ's is the only pizza place in Bayfield, and that sucks because I think the pizza is average at best. If you're really looking for a quality pie, drive a few more miles and get pizza that is made by people who know the art of making a great pizza. In my opinion, the best places to get pizza in Durango are DSP, Chimayo and BoJo's. Chimayo makes a nice pizza, napoletana style, and DSP is similar to a N.Y. slice.
