Stopping at Tomichi Creek Trading Post felt like stepping into a welcoming home away from home, where the friendly staff and spotless facilities made the journey truly pleasant. The hearty, flavorful dishes-from elk meatloaf to crispy fried pickles-paired with quick, attentive service and a charming rustic vibe, left me eager to return on the road back.

Tomichi Creek Trading Post feels like home, offering a friendly atmosphere and clean facilities that make any road trip more enjoyable. The staff truly goes out of their way to assist, and the food is delicious, with a variety of options that won't disappoint.

Chef Tim & staff provided an excellent meal today. We had iced tea, roasted red pepper hummus appetizer, pulled pork, and elk meatloaf sandwich with a fresh cucumber-tomato salad. This fine establishment could easily be a top main street contender from Kansas Ciy to Breckinridge to Chicago. If it had rooftop seating, reservations would be required because of their views. To find a roadside restaurant along US 50 East of Gunnison was a pleasant surprise and well deserving of my review.
