06/20/2025 - Carlene H.
Perched at 11,000 feet after a peaceful hike through a snow-dusted forest, the cozy yurt welcomes you with candlelight and the soft strum of live guitar, setting the stage for a dining experience that lingers in memory long after the last bite. Each course, from tender elk tenderloins to decadent homemade truffles, is crafted with care and paired perfectly with stunning views of towering peaks like Mt. Elbert and Massive. As night falls, the trek back under a star-studded sky and the glow of a full moon transforms the journey into something truly magical, making every moment feel touched by the spirit of the mountains.

The hike up to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse was worth the effort, especially for the annual Christmas holiday tradition with my family. Despite a reservation mix-up, the staff compensated us with a lovely bottle of wine, making the dining experience at 11,000 feet with stunning mountain views truly unforgettable.
