Great service, staff is very friendly. Food is great and was very quick. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming. Everything is clean and tidy. Large menu to choose from- variety is awesome. Overall- great experience! =)

This place is excellent. The daily specials are reasonably cheap and pretty tasty. I really only go there for sushi though. The sushi is on the expensive-side, but the quality of the rolls are fantastic.
I highly recommend the (giant) Kabuki roll. One roll is all you need!

this place rocks in an otherwise boring neighborhood food wise...

I absolutely love this place. The staff is always incredibly friendly and accommodating and it's just a very relaxed environment. I really crave my weekly dinners there now that I've moved out of DC.

I admit my standards are high for a Japanese restaurant because I lived in Tokyo for so long. I was hoping for some good Japanese food in DC, and more than that I was dreaming of Japanese ambiance; that is, the whole dining experience.
This restaurant offended me. The service was attentive, no doubt, but that was the smallest and thinnest sushi I have ever seen. And after I asked for the Bee Gees music to be turned down, well, nothing happenned. It was in such bad taste that I just got up, paid, and left. It is not really a Japanese restaurant. Music blaring, stingy portions, a veneer of things Japanese without the reality. And it was not cheap. I am still looking for a good Japanese restaurant in DC. severaloptions@yahoo.com

The BEST, and my favorite, Japanese restaurant on the Hill!

This is a quaint little place in Capitol Hill. The food is always fresh and the service is fast too. Also, the prices are reasonable. It's not far from Union station so it's pretty easy to get to from the metro.

This is a great family-owned sushi restaurant on Capitol Hill. The food is fresh, good and not too expensive. Also, the sushi portions are perfect - not too big so you dont feel like you have to bite a roll piece in half just to fit it in your mouth!
