Astoria in Royal Oak has an amazing variety of desserts and baked goods that are always fresh and delicious, with seasonal specials that keep things interesting. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy, and there's a small but cozy seating area inside and outside if you want to hang out. I tried the caramel apple cheesecake recently and it was perfectly balanced-not too sweet with a great caramel apple flavor-and prices generally stay under $10, making it a sweet treat worth grabbing whenever I'm around.
