I made it a mission to try a drink at every bar on Main Street, and the McKenzie River Taphouse stood out with its amazing beer and cider selection, plus some seltzers and wine. The owner, Ken, is super friendly and really cares about the community, which makes the atmosphere welcoming and fun, especially with their regular events and food trucks. While seating can get tight on busy nights and the food truck experience wasn't the best, the overall vibe, great service, and constantly changing tap list keep me coming back.

I explored all the bars on Main Street to understand the local beer scene, and the MRT stood out for a few reasons: a wide beer selection, hands-on local ownership, and an absence of video poker. The atmosphere is free from pretentiousness with a diverse range of beverages, including beer, cider, seltzers, and wine. The place fosters a sense of community with engaging events, a friendly staff, and an owner who is actively involved in supporting local causes.
