There were three of us, and Matt was our waiter. He was outstanding, and our food was quite good. The star of the show was the baked brie and the hot rolls. One member of our party had a birthday, so we were treated to a bottle of wine that, surprisingly, was good.

Went last night we were 3 couples celebrating our anniversaries. Was our first and last time! Walking into restaurant should have been a dead giveaway! Filth and garbage right outside of their front seating area. Inside was dark, dingy, old worn out floors, desperately in need of a paint job and booths and furnishings had seen better days. As we were being seated I noticed not one but many tables that were never cleaned off from past guests! And they remained that way during our whole dinner! We ordered 2 apps for table to share over an hour later one comes out, I finally complained and 20 min later I told them to forget it! Five min later the other app came out! No communication! Dinners were served another 45 min later. Cold meats, hard undercooked potatoes and tasteless. By that point I was so disgusted I couldn’t even eat it even though waitress offered to heat it! The others just picked at there’s. And on the way out I’m sorry I had to use the ladies room! I walked in and right out! Disgustingly filthy! We winded up since it was so late at a take out eatery that blew away H.S. With cleanliness and food! This place should be shut down and throw away the key! Positive reviews in any way are either lies or people who are slobs and will eat anything!

Reservations could only be made by phone and my daughter tried three times starting two weeks before mother's Day to make a reservation . Each time she called she was told that someone would call her back but that never happened . Finally on Saturday she called again and did get a reservation for mother's Day evening.
It took quite a while for our server to recognize us and ask us if we wanted something to drink. Then it was 15 minutes before the bottle of wine arrived. The delicious homemade rolls came without butter. I noticed another table with the same server was having the same slow service as us however other tables with different servers seem to get more efficient service. Maybe they need more workers or need to parcel out the tables a little bit differently .

This was my third visit to this restaurant . The first time was Easter last year when we had wonderful service with a great server. Second time we had a new young man who didn't seem to know much of what was going on and there were several mistakes. We've been trying to get the same server we had last year at Easter, but we're told recently that she no longer works there . Too bad.

Port Richey restaurant. Server fantastic, he did a fabulous job. That’s where it stopped. There were close to 30 of us. Reservation was for 5:30. We sat for over an hour to get our meals. People sent their meals back because they weren’t cooked to order. My husband finally got his meal after the rest of us finished ours. The bills finally came. Guess what… the credit card machine was down. They said it would be up shortly. People waited and paid cash because they were tired of waiting. An hour later they came back and said it was working but went down again. There were approx eight of us there getting upset at that point. We have been there for 3 1/2 hours!!The manager never spoke to us. My husband finally demanded to see her. At least five minute later she walked out with attitude. She said pay cash, or leave your credit cards and pick them up later. NO WAY! I suggested the comp our meals. She was a smart -ss and said if they comped meals they”d be out of business. My husband finally demanded our card back. She said Leave and thank you for understanding in a very rude tone. We tried to give the server a tip and he refused. This woman doesn’t have a clue how to be a manager.

Don't spend your time or money.
Steaks were tasteless and tough.

Bad management, I would never order from them again.

We were so looking forward to a good steak but even with reservation for 5:30 there was a wait of 45 minutes as they were over booked. The people with reservation for 5:00 were still in a line with 25 others still waiting. This is very unacceptable management.

Horrible experience. 0 stars. We arrived at 5:55pm and were informed that the wait to be seated was 45-60 minutes. This was the first of 3 lies. At minute 45, we asked about our table and were informed that there were 3 tables ahead of us. After another 30 minutes, we were informed, again, that there were 3 tables ahead or us. At 7:25pm, after 90 minutes of waiting, we were informed that there were 10 reservations that needed to be seated before us. I am utterly disgusted with the staff and management of this establishment. Thanks for wasting 90 minutes of our lives.

I have been going to Harold Seltzers for so many years and have always been a big fan of the restaurant, staff, service and quality of the food. On my recent visit after they have been closed for so long I was required to let them take my temperature before being allowed in. This to me is very ridiculous! Does Publix take my temp when going in the store to go shopping and touching many items alone the wAy? Does Port Richey Ford take my temp when I bring my car in for service sit among all the people in the waiting room? Does any other restaurant take my temp before allowing me in? Sure I agree to a mask while entering and leaving and social distancing. I refuse to be insulted with their ridiculous temp requirement and walked out. There are dozens of restaurants up and down US19 and all over every town. See ya

Went to the Gulfview Mall location 5/3/2019 for anniversary. Seated right away. drinks/salads delivered quickly. NOW THE BAD PART. Steak (mine) Kebab (wifey) COLD, CHEWY. Steak was like leather, tasteless and so full of gristle as to be virtually unbeatable. Cold baked and mashed potatoes. SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED THIS YEAR. WAIT STAFF COULD CARE LESS. THEY ARE LOUD, CHILDISH AND TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. THAT DOES IT. THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER. Not a lot to choose from here in PASCO, but, not hard to beat the quality of food and the lousy service at ALKA SELTZERS PTOMANE PALACE.

After 5 yrs, we were back in the area, & visited the Seltzer's Steakhouse. I would NEVER recommend the restaurant to anyone. We are pros in the food bz, as sales reps & vendors, & the only viable part of the meal were the HOT rolls.

Our meal was served on cold plates, reflecting the loss of heat for the meat & potatoes. Service was poor, as the person, who was to seat us, entered the front of the area, pointed at a table & told us: "over there".

The man at the front desk, would SHOUT out names, to be seated. Upon arrival, there was no direction as to how to request a seat. Finally, went to the desk, where as I stood waiting for acknowledgement, no one bothered looking up for a few min. The young woman, finally looked at me, w/o any greeting or smile.

I think that I would rate the service, the food & the atmosphere as probably my worst restaurant experience ever. We did complain about the meal, & $5 was taken off the tab.

The dress code is sloppy t-shirts for men & shorts, in the evening. Guess, you get what you receive, when the expectations are low anyway.

Don't bother wasting your time, here.

Went last Friday night for birthday dinner. Harold happened to be there and came over and was very pleasant. We expected to have a good evening. Not to be! The steak came out raw inside when I ordered medium. I can't eat raw steak. It was sent back twice and still raw! The other party had finished dinner so I was stuck with no B-day dinner. They did take it off check but I was still hungry. The creamed spinach was not very good. Seemed thrown together and the lobster bisque had no lobster pieces in it. They charged $3 for a glass of club soda water which most restaurant's give free. The other party ordered $35 worth of food, not happy with most but his steak was ok enough to eat. We questioned the waiter about calling Harold back over and was told Harold had left the building but that was a lie as we saw him in the bar as we left but decided not to bother him while he was having dinner. Needless to say, we will not be back.

We eat there about once a month. Food, value, and service are wonderful.
