There is a fantastic Mexican market in east GB where I often stop to buy tortillas, beans, limes, spices, and more. The prices are surprisingly low, and I can leave with enough food for several meals spending only $5-$10. La Espiga is a wonderful mercado offering authentic Mexican specialties on the East side. I visited for chiles and was impressed by their wide selection of dried, fresh, and canned chiles. The attached carneceria had enticing chicharrones and fresh produce, and I found the prices, especially for imported items, to be very reasonable. I'll definitely return for my next Mexican dinner.
