The papusas here are incredibly flavorful, with just the right amount of dough and perfectly seasoned cabbage, delivering an authentic Salvadoran experience that warms the soul. Each one is made fresh to order, generous in size, and paired wonderfully with a cinnamon-kissed horchata that complements the meal beautifully. Though there's a slight language barrier and the exterior might seem humble, the friendly staff and comforting, homemade taste make every visit memorable and worth the wait.

The pupusas at this hole-in-the-wall place are amazing with no extra dough, very flavorful, and served with perfectly seasoned cabbage, giving an authentic taste of Salvadoran cuisine. My co-workers and I came here for a papusa fix and thoroughly enjoyed the huge and satisfying bean and cheese pupusas, as well as the delicious horchata with a hint of cinnamon. Despite a slight language barrier, the friendly staff made our experience at El Majahual enjoyable, and the affordable prices make it a great spot for authentic and tasty pupusas in Houston.
