Hey I know you all are a new restaurant so I want to share my experience. I was looking for an email, but couldn’t find one.
I made a reservation today for 6:30 and was very excited to try out this new trendy restaurant. It was my Bestfriend’d birthday which I put on the reservation. Nothing special happened for her so I guess there’s no reason to put you are having a special occasion. It’s just a waste of time.
First The host brought us to a table in the back with a high table ( I’m 8 months pregnant) so I let the host know I wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting at a high table and I would prefer a booth or low table. He let me know he only had a half booth available which I said was fine. He took us to a booth -that was confusing.
Next we waited 20-30 minutes after sitting just to be greeted. (No water, nothing)
We ordered and the food was OKAY. It wasn’t horrible, but wasn’t that good (I liked the crab beignets, but wished the spinach dip had more then 3 pieces of bread to dip).
The steak needed A1 sauce and mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. Corn bread was very dense. I wasn’t given a steak knife.
My husband’s meal arrived 15 minutes after the other 3 entrees were served.
The waitress was not good.
We asked for things, like a knife, which wasn’t on the table, and we had to ask multiple times.
My Best-friends husband ordered beer and 3 times the waitress said that You ran out. He ended up saying just bring whatever beer you have. That was very odd and disappointing. Why did she keep saying we have A,B , C beer and then when he asked for A she came back and said there’s none available.
My husband and I brought a cake to surprise my Bestfriend with and the host put it in the fridge.
My husband discreetly went to the server to ask her to bring the surprise cake, since it was supposed to be a surprise. The waitress came to the table and said I have two cakes in the fridge, which one is yours? This COMPLETELY RUINED THE SURPRISE! That really pissed me off and I told her it was supposed to be a surprise and she said sorry.
Overall the 4 of us agree we won’t be back, but I really wanted to express my experience with you all.
