This diner deserves five stars for its delicious food and the warmth of Maria and Chico, who make you feel right at home. The VIP omelette, packed with steak, chicken, and avocado, is one of the best I've ever had, and I appreciate that they serve breakfast all day at such reasonable prices. With fast service and a welcoming atmosphere, it's a great choice for anyone passing through town looking for a satisfying meal.

I am from Watseka and they have a Vips I am familiar with despite some changes they have made recently. But I was in Danville and ate at their Vips, and I was very displeased. None of the Vips I know of have Dr. Pepper, so this isn't really a concern, however I went to order a burger and fries, and the lady asked me if I wanted a soup or salad (which was free with the meal). I asked her if I could substitute that for a bowl of cottage cheese which I love and is served at the Watseka Vips, she told me they do not have that (a diner not having cottage cheese is not a good diner).When she didn't have the cottage cheese I declined, but then she insisted because it was free, so I decided on a salad as I love salads even though I wasn't interested in it at the moment. She asks me what kind of dressing I wanted, and I tell her "Itallian" which is my favorite kind of dressing, which she then tells me that they don't have that either! A salad isn't a salad to me without Itallian dressing; it's why I like salads to begin with! So I decide on the closest thing to it (oil and vinegar, which I have never tried before). It was disgusting. Then they bring out a basket of saltine crackers, which I hate compared to other crackers, not to mention the Watseka Vips brings you a free bread basket with a variety of crackers and butter packets! I was very displeased with my experience at the Danville Vips; will not be eating there again.
