We checked out the visitor center before our boat tour and loved the cool anniversary shirts and tasty treats like cookies and cherry turnovers. The cafe has a friendly vibe, great food like the tender Reuben sandwich, and a charming gift shop with unique items to browse while you wait. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, and the whole place has a cozy, historic atmosphere that makes for a fun and memorable experience.

We visited the visitor center today before our boat tour and discovered they had special t-shirts commemorating 175 years of the canal's history. We enjoyed a delicious cookie and cherry turnover from their lunch offerings. The cafe and gift shop were charming, with friendly staff and tasty food.
