I found this diner about 10 minutes off the Greensburg exit on I-74, and the breakfast was exactly what I was hoping for-friendly staff, generous portions, and homemade comfort food that reminded me of home. The western omelets and biscuits with gravy hit the spot, and their famous fried tenderloin sandwich definitely lives up to the hype, plus the pie selection is awesome for a sweet finish.

Wife and I have been trying to find local places within 20 miles of North Vernon Indiana to eat. The first thing we saw was CARS in the parking lot at around 12:45 pm. Usually a good sign. Upon entering we took a seat in a booth, which was a little tight on me and moved to a table .Looks clean for a place thats been around a while and could see that the cook had a clean appearance. Not like some restaurants I KNOW that hire any one that can sling hash. Maybe a little understaffed but keeping up. Lady who waited on us when asked what people seemed to order most replied they are famous for their Tenderloin. AIN'T EVERYBODY ! I chose fried chicken breast and 22 legs with mashed potatoes and gravy, cucumber and onion dish and my wife a salad and BLT. Both very well prepared and was pleased to see my wife eat ALL her lunch and I cleaned my plate as well. It was comfortable enough to relax and just have lunch at leisure, clean and not cheap but where is anymore At $30. We would have spent maybe a little less to eat a salt laden off a truck dinner somewhere else. Only reason I didn't give it 5 tars is 5 says amazing, I spent about a $100 for amazing truly was. BUT we'll be back here. It IS reminiscent of Diners in my past whicch I long for. Food was just right safe food and we will try other menu items NEXT time.
