estoy de acuerdo cada persona tiene algo de razon.creeo q tiene q aver espacio para mejorar a pasado muchisimos anos y me da risa:) leer q todo sigue igual.pero en algo muchos estamos de acuerdo esa mano y esa receta no la tiene cualquiera. le compre por muchos anos bizcochos a dona rosa para los cumplenos de mis hijos ect. nunca avia ni e probado bizcochos como los de ella.asen anos me mude de mi jersey querido. estoy loca por ir para comer los bizcochos de dona rosa.de donde ahora mi esposo es viven muchos dominicanos y yo le digo a mi esposo q estoy segura q el nunca a probado bizcochos como tal.hasta a puerto rico lleve en una ocasion bizcocho del de ella jamas e probado cosa tal.me alegro leer q sigue bien ;).hasta pronto dona rosa dios la cuide.

I ORDERED A CAKE FROM THERE A FEW WEEKS AGO , AND IT WAS NASTY !!! WHO DECORS THESE CAKES A KID??? IT WAS A MESS ... AND IT WAS LIKE LOPSIDED , I DONT KNOW THEY NEED TO TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME DECORATING .. i GOT RECOMMENDED TO A BAKERY IN UNION CITY AND ORDERED A 1/2 POUND THIS WEEKEND , THEY ARE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE BUT WOW !!!!! BEAUTIFUL , I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO CUT IT , IT LOOKED SO PERFECT ..ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE GIVEN THIS BAKERY A BAD REVIEW HEAD ON OVER TO UNION CITY .. IM PUTTING THEM ON BLAST CAUSE THEY ARE ONE OF A KIND , 201-864-7669 THEY OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK !!! :)

OMG .... WTF .. one the bakery on the outside just looks horrible , service is slow and their decorating teqniques r awful n the hadwritting looks like a child is writting it ,,, im very dissapointed with the quality of these cakes they r dry and jut look awful .... I recommed Dominican Bakery By cary and natty ... in union city NJ ... they are open 7 days a week and the decorater is amazing .. When i order cakes they are warm and just amazing !!!!! you have to see it to believe it , they r like picture perfect !!

My mom has been ording cakes from Carmen Rose ever since she was selling them from her house..... They used to be delicious but not sure what happened??? seems like there was a change in ingredients and now she puts way too much frosting!!!! the only thing that can caome to my mind is that ever since she increased her expenses (rent, labor) she had to cut back on the quality...... Sucks.... i used to love these cakes, now i can't stand them.... BTW i agree with the service, it is terrible and slow!!!

ever since i was a little girl my mom buy the cakes from the same bakery Carmen Rosa..i am now 22 and tried different places but could never find a better one..i live in the Bronx now and yes my boyfriend and i come from the bx to jersey city just for the cakes...btw he's addicted to it..these cakes are beyond delicious..

Very tasty and inexpensive cake... I ordered and picked up the same day for a friends birthday. I will agree that the handwritting was average but she was turning 28 so who really cakres.... it was delishhhh!!! and really cose to home. THANKS CARMEN!

My family has been ordering cakes from Rosa when she was selling them out of her house, and we never had a problem with her. Recently we noticed that the cakes were tasting a little off, and then the worse came. She sold my brothers birthday cake to someone else, even though we had ordered it one full week in advanced. At first we thought it was just a one time thing. Then they sold my uncles cake to someone else this March, and then my grandfather's cake to someone else just two weeks ago. This time they did not offer a replacement cake. I had to run to Shop Rite and get an ice cream cake. Furthermore, from what I have gathered from the other customers waiting for their bake goods, this is becoming a big problem, happening to more and more people, and when you order something a week in advanced there is know excuse for this poor customer service.

Their cakes are great and the merengue is awesome. You have the perfect mixture of sweetness and moisture. The only thing I can say is that they do not decorate very well. I once ordered a cake that ended up looking nothing like the picture and the handwriting is awful. They need to take more time in decorating nicely their cakes.

I FINALLY FOUND A GOOD BAKERY IN JERSEY CITY! I CALLED FOR A BIRTHDAY CAKE AND I COULD PICK IT UP THE SAME DAY,THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THE CAKE WAS DELICIOUS!
I CAN'T WAIT TO GO AND TRY SOME MORE OF THEIR PASTRIES. VERY NICE PEOPLE TOO!

Its the best and freshest Dominican Cake you can have outside of the Dominican republic.Also very reasonably priced. you can have one made up for you pretty much anytime you want.I Loved it!!!

I have been a customer for over 15yrs. They are a christian family, respectful, and honest. The quality of the cakes are 110% fresh and there prices are very reasonable. I have never been disappointed.

This bakery is by far great. It may not seem that appealing from the outside but once you get in.... oh man. The flan, tres leches, THE DOMINICAN CAKES are all just amazing. Definitely my favorite place for sweets.

Carmen Rosa and staff make super yummy cakes, fresh, different and incredible affordable. Favorites are guava, pinapple and tres leche!!!
