This family-owned barbecue joint has been a local favorite since the 1980s, offering consistently good food like ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and outstanding baked beans in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The restored firehouse setting, complete with an iconic firetruck inside, adds a nostalgic charm, while the friendly staff-often young but attentive-provide excellent service that makes every visit enjoyable. Although they don't serve alcohol and sometimes there's a wait due to no reservations, the reasonable prices and comforting Southern hospitality make it a worthwhile dining experience.

The friendly staff, delicious BBQ, and nostalgic atmosphere make this a must-visit eatery downtown.

Dried out pulled pork sandwich! BBQ tasted like it was made 3 days before. Spouse got a hamburger steak and it was a very hard lump of meat. Very disappointed in the food. Service was great though.
