What can I say about a place fairly close now to where I live that makes Puerto Rican food like home? Well that they are reaaaally good!!!!
Kidding aside to be honest I am very critic when it comes to Puerto Rican restaurants since I was born and raised in the island, so I tend to not be a fan of restaurants that end up Americanizing their menus and recipes. I have to say this one didn't, they have stayed loyal to our roots and that's a big win for me since it makes them authentic.
Now where to start? Lets do the drinks, they where top notch! Really good, very refreshing and well balanced.
The food was amazing, its not on the menu yet but they just started serving the Chuleta Kan Kan (Tomahawk Pork Chop) thats something only found in PR, at least when we are comparing it to the Cinci/KY area and Its a most (Two can eat from it, see the pics) . Very well seasoned, fried but not greasy, just delicious, the same goes with the Alcapurrias. The Mofongo, wasnt dried like many places, and it had chicharrones (Pork rinds) which is a must on a mofongo, its give it that little bit of a crunch on every bite.
We where looking foward to try the cheese flan but they where out, then the waiter offered us a Bailey's flan instead... made us forget the cheese flan on the first bite, it was that good.
The ambiance feels really homie, just as if I was on the island again. Definitely recommend this place 100%
