I was instantly drawn in by the lively phone conversation I overheard on the radio between Aaliyah from Kountry Cafe and a DJ from Phoenix during friends-day Wednesday on 99.9KEZ. Aaliyah's enthusiastic description of the day's special, fried chicken (or hamburger) with all the fixins cooked by her 80-year-old grandmother, had me craving some delicious down-home southern cooking!
