The diner had a retro fifties vibe, friendly service, and a variety of classic diner fare, making it a charming spot for a meal, despite a minor disappointment with the pecans on the waffle.

We went to the Mel's in Broussard,La.,and were very impressed with the quality of the food..decided we would come back with grandkids later for just deserts..VERY DISAPPOINTED! The cobbler was great,hot fudge sundae
was not hot fudge,but chocolate syrup with 3 small scoops of ice cream. You should serve it in old fountain soda glass(it was what we expected in keeping with your decor)and advertising hot fudge when it is not hot fudge is not cool. You could improve on the split,too..I got the Malt and it was good. It is better to do only a few things really good (like cobbler),than do a lot poorly
