Traveling through Lafayette on a family road trip, I found a wonderful option for traditional Venezuelan and Colombian cuisine that also accommodates gluten-free needs, which was a relief after my celiac diagnosis. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering helpful travel tips and ensuring our food was served fresh, hot, and with delicious accompanying sauces that truly enhanced the experience. From the perfectly seasoned brisket to the flavorful arepas and empanadas, every bite reminded me of home and left me eager to return.

While traveling from Houston to New Orleans, my family and I searched for gluten-free options in Lafayette during dinner time. Discovering Patacon on my list brought me much joy, given our Venezuelan/Colombian background and my recent celiac diagnosis. The clean restaurant, friendly family owners, and delicious reina pepiada and brisket arepas made our stop memorable and satisfying.
