Craving authentic yakitori after returning from Japan led me to Torimatsu, where the chicken grilled over binchotan charcoal lived up to every expectation with superb flavor and masterful cooking by the lone chef. The intimate and welcoming atmosphere, combined with friendly and attentive service, made the experience even better, especially when enjoying the chef's carefully selected omakase course featuring a variety of expertly prepared skewers. Just be sure to reserve ahead since seating is limited and this popular spot fills up quickly, but the delicious, authentic yakitori and thoughtful menu options are well worth the effort.
