Who ever owns the McDonalds on Hwy 21 in Covington La, you need to read you reviews and and make a trip thru the drive thru. Every negative review is true!!!!!!!!!

Simply stated, this McDonald’s is the worst store I have ever been to.
We stopped in at 10:30am on Saturday, August 20, 2011 for a quick cup of coffee and sandwich while travelling on I-12.
As we walked up to the counter is was obvious that all the employees were engaged in several loud conversations and had no interest in attending to the customers in line. After a minute one girl (the tallest with a medium build) did come forward to the register with a completely blank look on her face and what seemed to be a large gumball in her cheek. No hello, no welcoming to McDonald’s, no questions, nothing but a blank stare.
We ordered two coffees, two sandwiches and an orange juice, easy enough until she tried asking us what size OJ we wanted. This girl mumbled very quietly at best and after the third time asking became angry as if we had a problem. When ordering the sandwiches we clearly said “the sandwich only, not the meal”, as it turned out she sold us the full combo’s and charged us for them. We didn’t catch it but thought the $10.16 price seemed high. I had some extra change so I gave her $20.21 to get a nickel back for the Ronald McDonald House jar. She gave me back $10 and when I told her she still owes me a nickel she mumbles no you gave me 16 cent and turn and walked away. She then slid the food tray on the counter and walked away forgetting the OJ. Another girl came out with the juice as we sat in the booth.
It’s not the fact I didn’t get exactly what I ordered or that I was overcharged by five cents, it was the terribly unprofessional attitude this girl displayed. Given the loud commotion of the inattentive group working behind the counter it’s very obvious there is no proper management and probably never has been.
The cleanliness is far from desirable. The restrooms were a mess with papers on the floor, my wife said the ladies stall was dirty with the toilet seat stained brown and yellow. The men’s room too was not clean with sunflower seed shells on the floor and in the urinal.
This experience was so bad I feel it needs immediate attention and unfortunately I will not return to check on them.
