I recently tried a cozy little Chinese restaurant during my visit to Wisconsin and was pleasantly surprised by the hot and delicious food we ordered for takeout last weekend. The steamed dumplings with their special sauce were my favorite dish, and everything we tried, from the vegetable lo mein to the general Tso's chicken, was super tasty. Despite the outdated menu board and unenthusiastic service, the food at this establishment never disappoints, and it has become one of my go-to spots for satisfying Chinese takeout in Madison.

They provide the ability to order online...don't use it! You aren't totally covered if you call ahead either. If you come in and order in person, they still may mess up your order. Today, I ordered online and went to pick the food up at the designated time. The young man at the register, who clearly wasn't happy to be there, looked for my order and obviously couldn't find it. After talking to all the staff, he came back, asked again what I ordered, rang me up, took my card and didn't say anything to me about how they lost my order. I had to ask him if they started my order and how long it would be. There were at least 15 other people in the tiny room waiting for their food. I overheard one group say "ok, we'll give them 5 more minutes than ask again." Finally, when it go too crowded, another employee came up and started reading off the items in all the orders that had been sitting on the counter at least as long as I had been there. The room cleared out - everyone's food had been ready but the cashier made no attempt to hand it out. Another 10 minutes later, my order was done and I was out of there. I get home, and find out that they either gave me someone else's food, or got my order completely wrong.

Very loud workers. Ordered shrimp low mien and found pieces of pork it in. Also strange stringy pieces of what I can't identify. Haven't been there for a long time and now I remember why.

I have been going to here for many years. But, Friday 7-09-13 was terrible. The Beef Teriyaki was so hard, it was like jerky. The Egg Drop Soup, had no taste, was like water, no thickening and had a gray color. This order took over 20 minutes. And, I was there at 2:00. No one else was ordering. I will never go back.

"They mix their food on the floor."- Killian on fire department. The food is about poor in every area, it was bland and burnt. However the food was hot. I also was ready to write them off all together but I decided to just take one more bite of the fortune cookie. Bad decision on my part it tasted stale. Don't recommend this to anyone with taste buds.

Best Dang Chinese food around. I live 15 miles away and it's dang worth the drive. Beats the Garbage they serve at King Wok Everyday of the week.

YUCK!! Even the fortune cookies are horrible!! Not good English. Meat is disgusting! I even paid the extra $1 for white meat and got processed mash! probably the worst i've had!
