No Stars were given... But forced to put in 1 star to post. The Hillsboro, MO McDonald's has become a typical McDonald's. McDonald's has been on a steady decline regarding quality food for years. Every visit, you risk lousy food, but most of the time, you play a game of "how long has this been rotting in a warmer." The truly sad part is that most customer's will agree, saying of course it is horrible.
The whole world is aware that horrible is synonymous with McDonald's food. Employees are making more money than ever before, yet customer service is progressively and consistently getting worse. This morning I pulled into the two-lane drive-thru and listened to multiple customers place their orders in lane 2. To be clear, I arrived first in lane 1, and no other cars were in line when I got there, which sadly was unusual. As I waited, multiple vehicles showed up in lane 2. I don't know if the person responsible for Lane 1 had fallen asleep, but this has happened before. It had happened three times in lane two and twice in lane 1. Their customer service skills need improvement, and the food has been ruined well before it's served—no more chances. I'm through with McDonald's; it has solidified itself as a joke of a restaurant, and quite frankly, I am sick of accepting food that is less than quality. We must stop tolerating lousy food. Five hundred fifty doctors and other health professionals took out newspaper ads in 2011, saying that Ronald McDonald should be retired. In 2016 Ronald had enough of how horrible this restaurant had became and jumped ship. But the money wasn't as good back then, so you can still see him occasionally working at live events and appearing on social media. I hope someday McDonald's will dramatically improve, but I highly doubt it. In short it sucks!

This is the worst fish sandwich and fries I have had at a McDonald's. The bun was wrinkled on top(which should have been the first indication) fish patty was dark and very dry. Cheese and bun top were off center with so much tartar sauce that I ended up with big blob on my white pants(nice grease stain thank you very much). Fries were not warm and dark with a well used grease taste. What a waste of money. Tea was good and unfortunately we were on the road and didn't want to waste time going back.
