Suzy Q Neighborhood Grill: Photos

We did not deserve how we were treated by the owner of the q. We have been here when Doug was the owner and always enjoyed it. Our family has been coming for years. In the last few years, we have not visited at all. But this past summer, we came in and got burgers to go, we waited outside with our dog and and came in when they were done and left. Couple other times to go and once to sit outside and just enjoy the nice weather. But on this visit, it was a whole different story. The thing is we were not even going to say anything, but when she kept telling us we are from Dickinson County (we live in Clay) and you have always complained here and you're never happy, our jaws dropped. We kept telling her that you have us confused with someone else, she kept insisting that she did not. We are still in shock of how she kept treating us and litterally dumbfounded. So, without hesitation, we will go ahead and say..... First off the bar owner was rude, got my order wrong, undercooked the fish sandwich, undercooked the fried pickle spears, Lorissa's bun was cold, the appetizers came out after the meal and there was grime in my water from the water softener or lack there of. Lorissa asked for a box to take her food and she said no and took the burger then just threw it in a small to go box. When we got there I asked for change to play pool and asked if it's working and she said "if you put money in it", but in fact the battery was dead for the pool table, so it didn't work. When I asked how much it was she said, I don't know it says it on the table. Worst service ever and rude owner who doesn't give a shit. All this, except the saying no to Lorissa and grabbing her food to take to back and throw, lump into a to-go box, happened before she said "I live in Wakefield, you don't." (We do live in Wakefield and have since May, since we have gone to the q). Never have to worry about spending any more of our money there and will be telling all our hunting and fishing friends and family not to eat there. Very sad that she kept insisting that we were people that we were not. Very sad that she insisted that we were from Dickinson County and didn't live here, and were the ones that always complained even though we've only been in a few times and all without complaints, even though most times there were things to complain about. We just sucked it up and were nice. 2-3 x last summer in and out and no complaints. Just very strange and so sad we were treated this way. We love Wakefield and living here. But with out a doubt will never go back to the q to eat. Neither of us have been treated like that our whole lives, and the worst part is we didn't even say anything this time, she is the one who went off on us when I was trying to figure out what was in the bottom of my glass. We love Wakefield, we love where we live, we USED TO love the Suzie Q. No more, thanks to the owner. SAD!
