I tried this place a couple of years back and it was a swing and a miss, but after checking out their menu online, I decided to give it another shot two weeks ago. The seafood dip was a no-go for me - way too fishy. However, the catfish, shrimp, and baked potato made up for it, along with the complimentary hushpuppies and pinto beans with pickled tomato relish - delicious! The salad could use a little sprucing up in both taste and presentation, but the Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and live music added a nice touch to the overall experience. They might need a busboy and a full-time cashier to handle the crowds, but I'm definitely a fan of the food variety and the pleasant service and ambiance.

Was there for dinner 1/23/11. Very disappointed. We sat and waited close to 10 minutes to be greeted. I ordered all you can eat catfish and my wife ordered a 3 piece dinner. The catfish was hot and fresh but the poor service made it a terrible visit. Our server delivered our food and never came back to check on us. She walked by the table many times on her way to the restroom, but didn't stop. When we were leaving we said something to the cashier about the service and she told us our server wasn't feeling well. I have to wonder about the management that would allow an employee to work ill. But then again I never saw any type of manager in the hour I was there. Guess I will stick to the corporate restaurants where I know what I am going to get. I have to say the new owners are not "preserving" a part of Harrison history. The original Wharf was hands down better.
