The food was above average as compared to other Indian restaurant in the area but the manager is highly unprofessional and rude to customers. He increased the bill by adding service charge (added 15% to my bill) though I was with family of 3 members and 1 infant of 1 year. He considered the infant also as full member and then justified saying that he would have charged 20% but is only charging 15% to me when I raised the concern. When I asked him to show me where it is written in restaurant's policy or give me in written that he is charging service charge considering 1 year old as full member, he then went back to change the bill after arguing with me. Also, then he started giving other justification that my 1 year old kid was crying so other customers got disturbed and that's why he charged the service charge which was full non-sense. The restaurant or may be just this manager is looting people if they don't check their bill properly. Also, if they had concern with my kid crying, they could have asked me to do the take out or step out of the restaurant but they served me food and my wife did finish quickly and stepped out to ensure my little son don't cry or shout and don't disturbed anyone. Since I refused to pay the service charge, the manager then started complaining that my kid always makes the noise whenever I vist the restaurant which came surprised to me as that was never the case and if he had so much concern why he even entertained us on the first place this time. He could have said no to us when we entered the restaurant. His non-sense points and rude behavior was shock for me and my family. I was already in mood to cut the tip as the service was already bad (they didn't even serve the plates for the dinner and I had to ask them twice). After complaining a lot during payment to remove the service charge, the owner of the restaurant came and understood the whole situation and apologized for both wrong payment and manager's behavior. This use to be our close good Indian restaurant but after this incident , I am never going there or recommending anyone to this restaurant. We just don't go for food in restaurant but do also want good experience and don't want someone's annoyance or rude behavior to spoil our evening. Think before you plan to visit this restaurant with your family.
