I left Opelousas 15 years ago. I want to order this week,we tried today,but they're closed.i know when I used to come eat there,it was awesome.hopefully it's the same,we ll find out this week

First, let me say that joes is an institution in Opelousas. The food has always been excellent. That is why I have to say how disappointed I was recently. We were entertains family from out of town and I raved about their food. Well hopefully it was an off day, but the bread on the poor boys was very stale. The French fries and their famous onion rings were terribly overcooked, and close to being burnt. And lately their famous fried chicken has been very overcooked and dry. I am hoping this is not a new trend because I would miss joes so much.

I ate there for the 1st time last nite. 5-29-20. I have eaten chicken all over the place. But WOW!!! Never ate none like that!!! I'm telling everybody!! Those legs were so juicy. And big. And it had just the right amount of chrisp. And not greasy at all. I finally found a place where there is real fried chicken that has a big taste from home. WAY TO GO JOE'S!!! 🙌

Plate lunches are delicious! Everything I have ever eaten there is very good, even the french fries. Also, if you like spicy food, the Cajun Burger is awesome.

Best Hamburgers i have ever eaten, First one was about 47 years ago and they are still the same...except for the price, they used to be 5 for a dollar in the early 60's.
