Restaurant Description

This Mels Diner is owned by New owners, Jeff and Marie. It is our dream to bring to Litchfield quality food for reasonable prices. Because we are new we are working on a website so please keep a lookout for it!! Also, don't be surprised if you hear one of the wait staff say "Kiss my grits!" The diner was named after our favorite TV show "Alice" | S-T 7am to 10 pm, Fri_Sat 7am to 11 pm, Sun 7 am to 1pm

I've visited a few times and the atmosphere was quite bustling last night, being a Friday. However, the All You Can Eat fish fry truly won me over. If this dish was the main offering, I would definitely frequent this establishment. The drinks were generously sized and one was sufficient. The pricing was fair, though the clams were a bit on the expensive side. The haddock was notably fresh and delicious, while the onion rings stood out for their quality. The French fries, on the other hand, were not to my liking. Despite a full house, the service at the bar was attentive. It seemed like the gentleman next to us had some concerns, but he hadn't opted for the fish fry. I believe focusing on this dish would improve his experience. For haddock enthusiasts, Fridays are the ideal time to indulge in the fish fry. The cheese steaks and fries were also a hit, with portions large enough to share. The service was exceptional and the diner maintained a clean environment. The only downside was the high A/C setting that left me feeling chilly.

We have been a few times now and ALL the food is yummy! My favorite has to be their Western omelette for breakfast and the deep fried Sea scallops for dinner.
They have great prices and a family atmosphere too so I Definitely recommend this place!

Food was incredible !!!!! I had the fried clams and Scallops on Friday ,Melt in your mouth .Can't wait to go back this week .Found my new place for fresh seafood !!!!!!!
