Ordered the surf n' turf. Filet mignon; WTF...they sliced it in half across the filet..!!! Then cooked it too well done...!!! NEVER had a filet mignon this thin...or overcooked...!!! Lobster...eh, nothing to write home about. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were mixed with potato buds or some other FAKE potato stuff. Yeah, they do this to stretch the potatoes.
Waitress was very nice thus the 2 star rating. It was gonna be a 1 star. SMH
It amazes me what crap people serve with a straight face. AND the audacity to serve it...!!

Don't get what all the hoopla is about...mediocre food at it's best. NOT saying it's bad, it's just typical.
SO, this is what the people wanted; a hang-out with mediocre food, loud, swearing, obnoxious people...??
Damn, the trash yelling, "SAME SH*T DIFFERENT TOILET". The staff cussing as well; "f*ckin' this, f*ckin that"....SMH...real ladies.
LOL...real class acts.
Black Bear was 100% better. Too bad Joe screwed that up...!!!
ENTREE: My pasta was cooked ok...but a minute more & it would have been over cooked...nothing worse than mushy pasta. Clams were ok, scallops ok...the shrimp must have been cooked prior to adding to the dish. They were dried out & a bit tough, definitely NOT fresh. One shrimp was "mealy"...that's a bad shrimp...YUCK...!!! Portion was large. Too much sauce. AND they have NO freshly grated cheese.
APP special: Should have asked the cost; 3 scallops wrapped with bacon = $16. Damn.
I am not impressed in the slightest. May go back to try something else but nothing else on the menu strikes my fancy. It's all just typical cuisine.
People kept telling me, it's Oscar from The Grill in Wassaic. SO..??? Like Oscar is supposed to mean something to me...hmmmm... Definitely, sooo totally disappointed with all the rave & 5 star reviews.
I'm sure they will do well. 4 restaurants ago, it was Il Compare...so I guess, they all want another mundane Italian restaurant up there & a bar hangout. Leave it to Wingdale.
DAMN, I sure would love me some of Black Bear's risotto with mushrooms/wild mushrooms right now (the best I had out of 6 restaurants) or some of their calamari with the sweet/hot mango sauce drizzle. People don't realize how good Black Bear's food was when the Dutch chef & the sous chef, Marcos...& then Mark were cooking. When the sis & bro started cooking, food went downhill. The prices were reasonable despite claims of being expensive...NOT the case.
One customer was rather loud swearing & showing off her mud puppy...ok, UM. It's Wingdale & that IS what one can expect from/in Wingdale. Overall...disappointing.

The food is good but the sevice isnt good. I was trying to call to place a takeout order and the phone was busy, busy, busy and when I finally got through they just put the phone down. I live 5 minutes away so I drove over and I found two employees standing around. It was Valentine's Day and they were busy but they didn't look too busy to pick up the phone.
