• Broc Cellars turns out this easy drinking red wine made from a blend of Carginan, Syrah and Valdiguié. Made to be light and quaffable, it's a delicious thirst quencher. Even better when it's slightly chilled. Fermented with native yeast and a bit of SO2 at bottling. Broc Cellars is located in the heart of Berkeley and has become a stand out producer in the new wave of California winemakers.
• Dario Serrentino, 'cala' Bianco Macerato Terre Siciliane 2022 $20.00
• Dario Serrentino makes this deliciously versatile orange wine from a specific clone known as Catarratto Extra Lucido (“extra shiny!”) due to the grapes’ distinct luster. A short maceration makes for a great introduction to the world of orange wine. The palate tastes like fresh melon and zesty, woodsy citrus. A dream to pair with seafood and curry.

• Domaine Gavoty, "la Cigale" Rosé 2022. $24.00
• Built around roughly equal proportions of Grenache and Cinsault, with a small amount of Carignan and a splash of Syrah, “La Cigale” (named for the ubiquitous cicadas that populate the region) is charmingly juicy yet salty and dry, bring an ocean breeze to your table no matter how land locked you happen to be. This is a real Provence Rosé: no boardrooms, no ad executives, no multinational corporations. Organically farmed by a family and produced naturally— the way the Gavoty’s have done for generations.

One of my favorite wine shops in Arizona offers a unique selection curated by passionate staff. The experience is worth the slightly higher prices, especially as a wine club member with added benefits.
