I had a last-minute cake order and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. The cake was beautiful and delicious, exceeding all my expectations.

I have been ordering from them for holiday baked goods for a long time. At Christmas and Thanksgiving, the place is a beehive. You can go in there and cake/pie boxes are stacked to the ceiling for orders to be picked up. I especially love their french apple pie w/currents and white icing on the top! Their staff can bake their bottoms off. Last time, i had them do cakes and pies for a funeral. Everyone raved about their deserts.If you have not had their carmel cake, it is just like my grandmother (excellent cook) used to make.
Fantastic shop at good prices. But, what do you expect when owner is a fomer baker at Thalhimers, Michael Hatcher, brought over the Thalhimer's chocolate six-layer cake to his own bakery.You can get a taste of Richmond there, too. Michaela's is a Richmond jewel.

I have been using Michala's for years and would go no place else. They were recommended to by a friend and I have referred many people to them. The cakes are moist and delicious. You cannot go wrong with these good people.

I'm from NC I had Michaela's to do all of my dessert for Christmas my family really enjoyed all the deserts I'm about to be a first time grandmother and I'm having them to once again do my desserts ,the staff is extremely friendly, very professional.
