05/05/2023 - First timer/Last?
Had lunch at Bella on Thursday, May 4, first time there. They clearly were not busy but we waited about 5 minutes at the hostess station for the hostess to appear. Both a bartender and wait staff saw us standing there waiting but neither acknowledged us in any way. It would have been nice to say something to the effect like "hello", "welcome to Bella" or "the hostess will be right with you." When the hostess did arrive, she was nice and friendly and seated us. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered a 1/2 Panini sandwich and soup. The soup was tasty but came out warn, trending toward cold as was the sandwich. I have experienced this before at other local restaurants and am now wondering if this is just a regional thing. My expectation is for soup to be served hot! as well as a Panini sandwich. I read other reviews and the majority were 5 star but not today. Hopefully this was a fluke but we're not in a hurry to go back.
