Love Paula Deens restaurant
.. I have been to the one in Pigeon Forge and the one at Myrtle Beach. They both are so clean and the service is great. The food is delicious.

My family and I love Paula Deen’s. We eat here every time we come to Myrtle Beach several times each trip. The food is awesome and the service is too! Very well priced for the amount of food you can eat. The cheddar biscuits are to die for! My husbands favorite is the awesome pot roast and cream corn. The peach cobbler is great too!! I would recommend eating here every time you visit Myrtle Beach!!!

First, you have to go into the store and there were 4 staffs about 10 feet from us chatting and actively ignoring us for about a minute or two. Then, they told us we could go upstairs to the restaurant. The waitress was very nice, but the food was very bland and not tasty at all. I was actually very surprised how bad it was. The gumbo was very soupy and disgusting looking. The pot roast didn't taste good at all. It was overpriced for the portion and the quality of food. The food was bottomless but we didn't want any more because it didn't taste good. We then went back to the store. My daughter wanted to buy 2 packages of honey sticks (12 sticks in a package and the package is already sealed closed). The manager lady came and told the cashier that she saw people putting more honey sticks in the package, and proceeded to tear my packages open and count the sticks (all 24) with her fingers. I suggested to put the tapes so people can't open it, but she said she didn't want to put tapes. It was disgusting and not sanitary to eat that honey sticks touched by her fingers. The cashier lady understood and let me exchange to new packages. Overall, not good experience at all and will not be back.

The food here was not good at all! I do not believe the dumplings we were served could have been a recipe of Paula Deens. It is outrageously priced also. I would not recommend to anyone.

This restaurant has poor quality of food.. The broccoli was very overcooked; pork chop was fatty; overall poor quality and taste. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the price.

The staff and the ambience was wonderful. The food was less desirable. The gumbo was very fishy smelling and tasted it as well. The green beans were frozen. The dumplings were good. The collards were awful and tooo salty as well as the other dishes. This was my first experience and my last at a Paula Deans restaurant.

Friendly staff and nice facility but the food is bland and the selection is not great. I found the prices high as well.

Overpriced, poor tasting food. Not a lot of flavor given it’s “southern cooking”. I produce better from my kitchen. Very disappointed and the price is ridiculous.

The restaurant was beautiful but that is where the good experience ended. The waitress acted annoyed that we were even there. My mom is allergic to garlic. When she asked if the food had any garlic in it, the server with much attitude said yeah, everything but the drinks had garlic in it. My mom asked if she was able to order the food to be cooked without the garlic and she was told no. Most normal restaurants can make the food without garlic which is standard since there are so many people allergic to garlic. The portion sizes for a family meal were more like single portions instead of a family size. The food was average at best. The food was way over priced. You can get a better selection of better food at a much lower price at Cracker Barrel. The server spoke so fast it was hard to understand. My wife and I ordered chocolate cake for desert but was told ice cream on the side was not a option. The chocolate cake was really a very thin brownie that was not very good. I will never go back.

On 08/23/2020, We were excited to see Paula Dean’s restaurant at Myrtle Beach, SC, thinking that everything will be great since Paula is a celebrity chef on Food Network. However, we were all very disappointed with Paula Deans restaurant experience from the food quality, taste, portion size, price, to the bad attitude of a rude and snobby waitress, Taylor.
The lunch menu was very limited - it is family style and very pricey - $19.99 per person with 3 main dishes, 4 sides, biscuits, and desserts. Drinks are not included. The portions are very very small. They gave us single person portion to share amongst 4 of us. They will give you refill but the food quality was so bland and not that great, it is far from home cooked meals we know, so we did not ask for refills. Cracker Barrel food quality and taste are much better and much cheaper than Paula Dean’s.
We ordered desserts - brownies( gooey butter cake) and cobblers. They taste bad and weird. We took a bite and stopped eating the desserts.
The waitress Taylor is not friendly and impatient, when we asked questions, she talks really fast and it is hard for us to understand what she is saying. We have to ask her to repeat a few times so we understand what she said. We asked if we can add ice cream on top of the cobblers, she said no, we do not have ice cream here. Any normal restaurant, would have ice cream but not this restaurant, there is no alternative except what is listed on the menu.
We will never come back to Paula Dean’s restaurant again and we will not recommend anyone to go there if you want good food at reasonable price. Your money is better spent at Cracker Barrel.

WENT HERE WITH A FRIEND FOR LUNCH IN AUGUST 2019. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE NO SEASONED ON ANYTHING. I AM FROM THE SOUTH AND I COOK WITH SEASONED. IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH GOOD SOUTHERN FOOD DO NOT EAT HERE. THE WAITRESS WAS NICE AND PLEASANT. THE SURROUNDING AREA WAS BEAUTIFUL. THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER RESTAURANT TO EAT AT IN THIS AREA.
