My family just left here on 9/6/2015 at 12:58pm...I ordered the steak with boiled eggs and house potatoes.... I cracked open my eggs and immediately noticed a foul stench. I sent them back, I went to eat the house potatoes, and those were cold...
My steak had more fat on it than jack sprats wife could stand to eat.

I asked the waitress if I could have something else since my eggs were clearly old (out of date) she asked what I would like and I said "a small portion of corner beef" the toast was burnt severely on one side and the person that plated it just flipped it over. My guess hoping no one would notice. I sent that back. The corned beef came out hot and my toast was much better.

I asked to speak to the manager to calmly explain my dissatisfaction with my meal. Some man came from the kitchen in an apron, and as I began to explain the various follies regarding my meal; he abruptly cuts me of saying " everyone came in at one time, the kitchen couldn't keep up, he's been in food for 45 years.. Etc* then I proceed to explain that going through a lunch rush is no excuse to send out subpar food, cold food, or old food to paying customers "

Seeing that I was not getting anywhere with him, I asked to speak with another "manager"

Now I was speaking to a black lady with dreads, that informed me that the guy I just spoke with was get husband... As I explained to her what went awry with my meal, she brought up the comps (the corned beer and cold potatoes) I reminded her that the toast and corned beef was all that I was able to enjoy.

Again my original meal was a steak boiled eggs, and potatoes... So from that I truly only consumed the toast and corned beef...

Doesn't sound like what I got what i ordered. And please believe I was charged for the steak.

What really got me is the fact that they seemed offended that I had the audacity to bring my experience to their attention.

Because conveniently I was the only person to bring their issues to the table.

As I told her not everyone complains, but when you see your sales decrease and foot traffic slow to a halt. Keep in mind that I told you. This experience left a bad experience in my mouth... I went in hungry and left hungry..

Oh and how can I forget the dread lady asked if I would like to share my sentiments with her brother as he was the head chef and he would be offended that I sent my meal back.

I informed her I didn't care who she tells, but that food coming out of the kitchen was substandard and I thought they should know..

I also am in a food related industry, and if I was to serve my customers crap, I wouldn't be on business, as paying customers have choices, and I will not ever choose to spend my money at that establishment
