I visited a vineyard in Monterey County near Salinas, where they produce Chardonnay and Late harvest wines. Their Botrytis Viognier offers a honeyed complexity similar to a semi mature Sauternes, with a hint of spiciness from oak/stainless fermentation, a great value compared to Dolce.
