Whenever I'm in Hawthorne around lunchtime, I make it a point to stop at Pepper's Place for either a sit-down meal or takeout, as their crispy chicken sandwich consistently stands out as one of the best I've had. The food is always cooked to order, with options like their flavorful E.T. Burger, excellent onion rings, and unique items such as "Frings" (fries and onion rings combined), all served by friendly staff in a casual outdoor setting. Although the wait can be a bit longer due to made-to-order preparation, the quality and taste make it well worth it, and the variety on the menu ensures there's something for everyone.
