Stopped in Summit, NJ to grab a ski jacket and randomly ordered a Reuben from Zappia's for the road-I ended up loving it so much that my 16-year-old, who usually hates my food choices, devoured half and declared it the best sandwich ever. The sandwiches here are huge, fresh, and packed with flavor, especially their hot subs and Italian options, plus their catering has been a lifesaver for several events with tasty dishes and helpful staff. Service can be a bit slow during busy times, but the friendly people, great food, and reasonable prices make it totally worth it.

I made a spontaneous stop in Summit, NJ to pick up a ski jacket and found myself at Zappia's, where I decided to grab a Reuben sandwich for the road. As I drove away, my picky 16-year-old daughter ended up loving the sandwich, declaring it the best she's ever had. Intrigued by her reaction, I gave it a try and agreed that it was indeed one of the best Reubens I've had in a long time. It was so good that we went out of our way to visit Zappia's again on our trip back home, and it was definitely worth the detour.
