My most recent visit to the Lily Pad for breakfast was horrible. Hardly anyone in the restaurant when we arrived at about 11:00 on a Sunday morning. We asked if they were still serving breakfast, they said yes. When we were seated we were told that there was no more prime rib. Ok, we said, we would have ham. In the meantime, another couple comes in and another waitress took their order after they were seated. Waiting for our breakfast, a girl came out and said that they were out of ham. ok, what do you have? We ended up ordering Sausage, eggs, homefries, toast. The only other couple who was in the restaurant was served there breakfast, and they came in well after us. Our waitress/bartender acted like it was a big problem waiting on us. We finally received our breakfast after quite some time, the eggs were over done, the potatoes were cold, the toast was cold, and the sausage had a funky taste like they were old or they had been soaking in some kind of strange flavor. Even my husband left half his breakfast on his plate. All that for $17.00 and change for breakfast!! My husband left a $20 dollar bill on the table and we walked out. No I am sorry, thanks for coming, nothing. Believe me, I tend to over tip, 20 or 25%, but our horrible experience at this bar?/restaurant?, was nothing short of a head shaking ( I am sorry I am not a biker, which by the way I have 2 Harleys), horrible experience!!
How can you screw up breakfast. Well, the Lily Pad did. We won't be back. By the way, I have been there for their dinners, and pretty much left with the same experience. If you are looking for a bar to drink in, this is the place! If you are looking for a nice home cooked meal, skip the Lily Pad and stick to Bob Evans!!
