Went with 4 others and ordered an appetizer size shrimp and grits. When the bill came I was charged for a shrimp and grits meal. I asked the waitress about it and she said she had misunderstood what size I had ordered. No big deal things happen. She went to take it off the ticket but can back and said the manager would not let her. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager. I said yes. The manager came upstairs and asked me what happen and I told her. She then said to me…. Don’t you know the difference between the appetizer size and the neal size? I said no , I never ordered it here before and since I don’t work there why would I know that. She then said if you order something and eat it you have to pay for it. I showed her my plate and it was still almost completely full. It was really awful. She then dtotmed away and took it off my bill. I would have happily paid for the appetizer but I was really caught off guard by the rudeness. By a manager no less. Not going back anytime soon. From other things I have read on here I think a change of help is in order.

Not impressed with my meal or very comfortable with the waitress. I asked about substituting something for a salad, and she responded aggressively, you can’t substitute. No problem I just asked, I felt like I was being yelled at for asking.

I ordered this crab that came with a bun. I had know idea this thing would come out breaded and deep fried with all legs attached. It was disgusting and hard for me to eat on a bun with the legs hanging out. I mentioned it to the waitress and she just laughed.

Will not go their again for 4 people with tip over $100 bucks. Plus, parking is on the street and hard to get.

Great food and service, love the shrimp and grits and brown butter bbq chicken. Reasonable prices too.

I cannot imagine anyone giving The Chelsea less than 5 stars! It's one of my favorite local restaurants to take out-of-town visitors. The food is always cooked to perfection, and they never quibble about making substitutions. My family members have food allergies, and The Chelsea is one place that caters to our special needs. The service is prompt and with a smile! The coffee is good too. I probably average 12-15 times a year eating there, and I'm always a happy customer.
