Three years ago, this was the best seafood restaurant in Concord/Kannapolis. Excellent service, HUGE portions, fresh, delicious food every time. We ate here about once a month.
Then about a year ago someone else took over, changed the name from Captain's Galley to Captain's Galley Shack, and expanded the menu. Seafood is still their focus, but they also serve wings, pasta, BBQ, etc.
Sadly, the overall quality of the restaurant suffered. The portions are smaller, the wait staff is less friendly or courteous, the meals taste bland and uninspired. The Bloomin Onion (which also shrank) is frequently undercooked. We ate here about six months ago with friends, and nobody was impressed. We decided to cross it off our list.
