My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary in West Jefferson and, encouraged by a local shop owner to try River House instead of our original reservation, we experienced an unforgettable evening with a gracious owner, impeccable service, exquisite food including a three-course dinner under the stars, a charming historic setting by the New River, and such a relaxing atmosphere that we eagerly look forward to returning for another meal or weekend stay.
